Job Description

• Assist downstream processing scientists in the purification of hydridoma antibodies and in the development of commercial processes for vaccines and protein therapeutics for animal health.
• Isolate/purify reagent proteins such as antibodies from hybridomas for use by the biological development analytical group according to established procedures.
• Isolate/purify/concentrate viral harvests for use as vaccine candidates.
• Run basic analytical methods, which may include HPLC, gel electrophoresis, and total protein analysis.
• Assist senior members of the DSP team with large-scale preps and routine processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in disciplines of chemistry, biochemistry, or other related fields.
• This is a junior level role requiring a BS +1-3 years of experience
• Laboratory experience with:
  • Protein purification
  • HPLC
  • Gel Electrophoresis
  • Low pressure chromatography
  • Cross-flow filtration

Additional Information

• Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, first shift 8AM-5PM. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Kalamazoo, MI are encouraged to apply.
