  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    ·Carry out review of laboratory-generated data by ensuring that data reported is of highest quality standards and in alignment with quality system requirements.  

    ·Carry out administrative duties associated with receiving samples from clients, ensuring accuracy, and logging-in, labeling, and overseeing the submission to the laboratories for testing.  Maintain strong client-communication and provide status updates as a primary liaison to the laboratory. 

    ·Assist at-the-bench analysts by carrying out sample preparation duties such as weighing, digesting, shaking, and dissolving samples in preparation for Liquid Chromatography (LC), Ion Chromatography (IC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and/or Metals Analysis.

    ·Assist at-the-bench analysts by carrying out basic laboratory tests such as pH, water activity, weight, moisture, and physicals-testing methods.  Perform routine instrument, balance, and machine maintenance.

    ·Review data, data notebooks, logbooks, and reports to ensure highest quality

    ·Perform general housekeeping of work area in alignment with 5S standards, and performing other duties as assigned. 

    ·Meet all quality and productivity metrics

    ·Apply the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility; maintain ISO 17025 quality standards and accreditation for the laboratory.

    ·Learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and follow WIs and SOPs as written

    ·Demonstrate strong client service skills

    ·Proactively plan and maximize productivity

    ·Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration

    ·Implement operational improvements

    Support and promote company policies and procedures

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ·High level of attention to detail and ability to carry out data review tasks by spending long periods of time at the desk

    ·Relevant laboratory and data review experience

    ·Experience with LIMS and managing samples

    ·Ability to flex into various lab assignments as a strong team player when data review volume is down

    ·Degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline preferred but not required

    ·Experience working within an established quality system (ISO 17025 preferred)

    ·Understanding of production laboratory operations

    ·Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.

    ·Strong written, verbal and presentation skills along with demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.

    ·Strong computer, client service, scientific, and organizational skills

    ·Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

    ·Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
