Job Description

• Manage department equipment and infrastructure assets, ensuring care, maintenance and inventory. Implement strong routine QC on equipment and data. Provide recommendations to team on business and CapEx investment supporting instrument selection, evaluation, validation, acquisition, implementation, and performance monitoring.
• Manage quality systems as part of continuous improvement program: Initiate and facilitate trouble shooting sessions. Improve employee training plans and ensuring adherence to training plan in existing and new technology and methodology.
• Facilitate future growth by supporting technical and infrastructure improvements throughout the current facility.
• Maintain accountability for unit expenses and lead operational plans to ensure unit profitability. Manage lab supply chain.
• Establish Business Continuity Plans. Establish, update, and actively manage business plan in collaboration with other Eurofins sites. Adheres to and supports employee health and safety (EHS) requirements.
• Identify areas where software would improve operational efficiency and facilitate user requirements for the development of software tools.
• Initiate and lead improvement initiatives, operational excellence and process improvement projects. Implement 5S and performance management within a laboratory setting.
• Flexibility with on-site presence due to potential weekend initiatives.
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess: 

• LEAN proficiency
• Demonstrated experience in working effectively with business development, sales, and customer service organizations
• Process excellence experience
• Project management experience

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

• B.A. or B.S. with 7 years of relevant experience
• M.A. or M.S. with 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with leading cross-functional teams effectively.
• Experience with project leadership.
• Experience in managing lab supply chain and expenses.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and presenting proposals/policies.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
