Job Description

• Under supervision, conduct hands-on routine, bench-scale purification experiments to support development and pilot plant teams.
• Support planning, designing and execution activities for lab-scale studies and GMP testing.
• Collaborate with various groups by providing purification, characterization, and expression support.
• Document experimental results in electronic notebook and/or GMP documents; follow GDP.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to key stakeholders.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory area; supports chemical inventory and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• A degree in biochemistry, molecular biology or similar discipline with 0-1 years of experience.
• Understanding and/or application of fundamental principles, theories and concepts in protein chemistry.
• Must be a self starter, independent and critical thinker capable of interpreting resuls

Preferred:

• GLP and GMP experience are not required but preferred.
• Experience with AKTA Purifier, FPLC, tangential flow filtration (TFF)
• Knowledge of protein chemistry, cell therapy, and/or gene therapy.

Additional Information

• Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Berkeley, CA are encouraged to apply.

• Annual salary: $60,112.00 - $72,072.00
