Job Description

EUROFINS IS SEARCHING FOR A BIOMANUFACTURING ASSOCIATE TO SUPPORT OUR PROFESSIONAL SCIENTIFIC SERVICES GROUP IN SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA.

 BIOMANUFACTURING ASSOCIATE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Handle multiple mammalian cell lines using aseptic techniques 
• Perform general cell biology methods including maintenance of cell lines and/or primary cells and cell separation/expansion
• CRISPR gene editing
• Perform immunoassay testing (i.e., ELISA, MSD, Luminex, HTRF) and protein quantification (Western blot)
• Maintain records and test results following good manufacturing practices (GMP)
• Work independently and efficiently
• Document work clearly and perform tests accurately

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD POSSESS:

• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture (passaging and plating in 96-well format)
• Experience with cell-based assays
• Data analysis experience
• Prior experience with in-vitro functional assays using cell lines and/or primary cells
• Willingness to learn new skills/techniques
• Ability to work with a cross-functional team
• Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
• Prior experience with CRISPR gene editing, a plus
• Experience with 3D spheroid/organoids culture, a plus

Qualifications

• BS degree with 3-4 years of experience, or MS degree with 2-3 years of experience in Oncology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience working with sterile cell culture and execution of cell-based and plate based immunological methods.  Preferably experience with one or more of following methods:  ELISA, MSD, Luminex, and/or HTRF
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of South San Francisco, CA are encouraged to apply.
