Job Description

• Routine testing to support QC Chemistry laboratory
• Use multiple gel-based assays including Capillary Electrophoresis
• Perform analysis of proteins and the impurities or raw materials associated with their production using various analytical techniques
• Document work as required for GMP compliance
• Perform tests accurately
• Troubleshoot method and instrumentation problems
• Use office and instrumentation specific computer software
• Produce written reports (e.g., SOP, OMC, client reports)
• Initiate and perform investigations
• Serve as administrator of analytical instrumentation systems
• Develop and execute validation plans
• Carry out method transfers and feasibility studies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience

• 1 year of experience

• Exposure to analytical methods (HPLC, Spectrophotometer, analytics, pH, raw materials) and their software (Empower)

• Knowledge and experience in GMP environment

• Knowledge and experience with LIMS

Additional Information

Position is full-time, _ 2nd shift, Sunday– Thursday, 2:00 pm-10:00pm_. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.

• 2nd and 3rd shift positions will add a 10% and 15% differential to the base pay.
