Europa Village Winery is seeking an experienced Banquet Houseperson to provide authentic and anticipatory service to our guests during special events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for excellent customer service and wine with an out-going, self-motivated and energetic personality. Banquet Houseperson Reports To:

Responsibilities Specific to a Banquet Houseperson:
Possess and live Europa Village core values.
Understands Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) thoroughly and completely.
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of banquet room, hallway, storage and service area.
Sets up banquet room according to the specifications of the BEO. Pays attention to details.
Sets up all necessary banquet supplies, checks that food is being prepared, makes sure the room is pleasing and the halls are clean.
Assists the audiovisual team with equipment set up as needed.
Assists with assembling temporary dance floors, podiums and other structures.
Folds linens and rolls silverware in preparation for meeting or event.
Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell to all guests.
Remains alert, courteous and helpful to guests and team members at all times.
Performs any side work the Banquet Manager or Banquet Captain finds necessary.
Tears down banquet space after events.
Assists with clearing of tables and chairs.
Ensures all equipment is torn down, removed and supplies put away.
Ensures proper handling, cleaning and sanitation of equipment, china, glass and silver.
Ensures the banquet room is reset for the next event.
Other duties as needed.

Be comfortable working on feet for long periods of time.
Be able to communicate Europa Village's story.
Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
Arrive at work prepared with excellent personal presentation standards with a clean, pressed uniform and appropriate slacks, stockings and shoes.
Arrive on time and be respectful of attendance and punctuality.
Adhere to Europa Village policies and procedures.
Be hospitable, welcoming, and exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to assist where necessary.
Attention to detail.
Food Handler Certification required,
Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
