Our venue is the perfect place for a wine country wedding or private event.

    Europa Village is looking to fill the position of Banquet Manager. The ideal candidate will have a passion for service with a motivating and energetic personality. Strong leadership skills are essential. A minimum of 3 years Banquet Management experience is required.Banquet Manager Reports to:

    Director of Food and Beverage

    Responsibilities Specific to Banquet Manager:

    Possess and live Europa Village core values.

    Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications.

    Reviews Banquet Event Orders (BEO) on a daily basis and makes note of any changes.

    Ensures all functions are set and team is prepared and organized before the required time on the BEO.

    Inspects table place settings, including table linen, china, glass, silverware and condiments for correct placement and ensures each element is clean, undamaged and attractive.

    Monitors banquet team members to ensure all operating procedures are followed.

    Supervises clearing and post event clean-up.

    Supervises the handling, storage and security of all catering service equipment.

    Remains alert of complaints and/or unsatisfied guests and responds appropriately to ensure guest satisfaction.

    Responsible for hiring training, managing, disciplining and terminating employees.

    Ensures training programs are implemented and measured regularly.

    Meticulously plans events with captains to ensure execution is achieved at the highest level.

    Meets regularly with Catering Manager, Catering Director, Sales Manager, Sales Director and the Food and Beverage Director to continuously evaluate strategies and ideas for enhancements to benefit the guest experience.

    Reviews scheduling and labor needs to meet guests' needs while maximizing efficiency.

    Prepares summaries and reports for each event.

    Other duties as needed.

    Arrive at work prepared with excellent personal presentation standards with a clean, pressed uniform and appropriate slacks and shoes.

    Arrive on time and be respectful of attendance and punctuality.

    Adhere to Europa Village policies and procedures.

    Be hospitable, welcoming, and exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to assist where necessary.

    Attention to detail.

    Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service Certifications required.

    Must be available to work holidays and weekends.
