EVENUP is a SaaS/legaltech startup that ensures personal injury victims are awarded the full value of their claims, expanding the $100B+ in awards granted to injury victims every year. For decades, insurance companies and the legal system have made it difficult for millions of ordinary people to seek the justice that they deserve, but cannot afford. EvenUp works with plaintiffs and attorneys on a wide range of injuries, including police brutality cases, child abuse, California wildfires, motor vehicle accidents, etc.

EvenUp’s products include case evaluation SaaS for personal injury attorneys, which puts a dollar value on what claims are worth through demand packages, and financing to injury victims. The more cases EvenUp funds/evaluates, the more proprietary data it collects, the more accurate its predictions, delivering greater value and more precision to both attorneys and victims.

For attorneys, EvenUp builds software to help them put a dollar value on their lawsuit, arming them with proprietary data, verdicts, case law and computations. For personal injury victims, EvenUp provides consumer litigation financing to provide them with the financial runway to fight against deep-pocketed defendants, without settling too early.

• Immediate leverage: You'll be working with the founding team, wearing many hats, and taking ownership of our legal operations

• Work with a world-class team: You'll be working with a founding team with deep expertise in technology, litigation, and finance, combining experiences from careers at Google, Uber, Quora, Norton Rose Fulbright, Warburg Pincus, 500 Startups, etc.

SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING YOU WOULD WANT TO DO?

• Drafting demand packages for personal injury cases, reviewing supporting documentation, and working with EvenUp’s internal toolkits

• Analyze the value of personal injury cases

• Review and draft damage assessment memos

• Support the underwriting team with case assessment and risk models

• Liaise with personal injury plaintiff attorneys and staff for sales, information retrieval and consultations

• Work with counsel to support regulatory compliance strategies

• Work with the machine learning and engineering teams to hone the product

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in personal injury 3+ years (case manager, paralegal, insurance adjuster, or attorney)

• Experience in sales is a plus

• Excellent legal writing skills
