    EVEN Hotel by IHG Norwalk is looking for a passionate and talented Evening Cook to join our culinary team in Norwalk, CT.     Responsibilities:

    Oversee and execute evening meal service, ensuring quality and consistency across all dishes

    Prepare, cook, and plate menu items in accordance with hotel culinary standards

    Supervise and support kitchen staff during evening shifts to maintain smooth operations

    Monitor food inventory, manage prep levels, and minimize waste

    Maintain a clean, organized kitchen in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations

    Collaborate with hotel management on menu development and seasonal specials

    Ensure proper storage and handling of all food products per health code standards

    Requirements:

    Proven experience as a Chef, Line Cook, or similar culinary role in a hotel or restaurant setting

    Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and presentation

    Familiarity with health-conscious or wellness-focused menu concepts is a plus

    ServSafe certification or equivalent food handler's certification preferred

    Ability to work evening and weekend shifts consistently

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team

    Excellent time management and the ability to perform well under pressure
