    Taco Boy is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and hospitality-driven Events Operations Manager to lead the execution of catering and special events across our Charlotte and Asheville locations. This is a dynamic role combining remote planning responsibilities with on-site presence during event set-ups, catering deliveries, and execution as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with Toast Catering & Events, and a proven track record in event operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage all aspects of catering events—from initial inquiry through successful execution

    Create and maintain accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), aligning client expectations with operational needs

    Communicate clearly with clients to understand their vision, confirm logistics, and deliver exceptional service

    Coordinate with culinary and service teams to fulfill event requirements, including staffing and prep needs

    Oversee event setup and breakdown for both on-site restaurant events and off-site catering deliveries and events

    Personally attend off-site events as needed to support execution, ensure food and supplies arrive on time, and lead service setup

    Place and manage event supply orders, coordinating deliveries or pickups for seamless execution

    Utilize Toast Catering & Events software to manage event logistics, bookings, and invoicing

    Support marketing and promotional efforts to grow the catering program and increase bookings

    Train and lead event staff, upholding high standards of hospitality and professionalism

    Travel as needed between Charlotte and Asheville markets (future expansion to SC possible)

    Occassional support in the restaurant as needed - we are an all hands on deck team. If you are in a position to help restaurant operations, a willingness to do so is necessary

    Qualifications

    2+ years of experience in catering or event operations

    Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to manage multiple events simultaneously

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team across multiple markets

    Familiarity with Toast Catering & Events or other catering/event management platforms preferred

    Flexible schedule with ability to work weekends or evenings as needed for event execution

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between event locations (Mileage reimbursement provided)
