Position Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Event Planner. Our Event Planner will help ensure a seamless and quality guest experience at The Culinary Vegetable Institute (CVI) and will be responsible for coordinating and executing a variety of events with world-renowned chefs, corporate meetings, weddings, parties, and other special occasions. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, experience writing contracts, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Meet with clients to discuss event details, budget, and expectations
• Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, menu preferences, décor, entertainment, server staffing and logistics
• Create and maintain event timelines and schedules
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
• Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown
• Coordinates ongoing CVI calendar with Farm events, guest stays, and tours
• Ensure client satisfaction and address any issues or concerns that may arise during events
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless event operations
• Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality Management, event planning, or related field
• Proven experience in event planning, preferably in a fine dining or similar setting
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Proficiency in Google programs
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
