Shop Foreman / Scenic and Event Fabricator required in Monrovia, CA, US! An innovative event fabrication shop is in search of a Technical Director/Foreman to aid the existing team and clients with the fabrication of decorated elements and events. We produce projects for private parties, amusement parks, special vehicles, and touring attractions. We always have a brand-new challenge. Responsibilities: • Lead 2-4 fabricators in buidling projects from start to finish Tyically 2-4 day projects • Knowledge in router CNC's and basic operation knowledge • Technical design premise of event style fabrication • Collaborate with clients and crew to define project specifications • Source props, materials, and specialty supplies for projects • Coordinate with Office Administrator to maintain stocked inventory and track budget including project materials, purchase orders, job costing, contracts, and invoices • Proficiency in reading and translating technical designs • Establish and coordinate project timelines with Management, clients, and crew Qualifications: A successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences: • Work well under pressure with a positive attitude • Ability to spearhead multiple projects independently • Experience managing small- to large-scale project budgets • Custom fabrication, and/or trade show industry experience directly managing clients and fabrication crew • Set Fabrication or design experience with wood and metal, and familiarity with a variety of construction materials are mandatory. • Excellent communication skills • Ability to accurately estimate costs based on current materials and construction pricing • Technical knowledge of CAD design files • Efficient • Dependable • Team player • Self-starter Compensation: $70,000 - $110,000 yearly
