Job Overview
We are seeking a candidate for the Event Staff position that provides customer service and operational support during special events for a public transportation company. This role assists patrons with needs, supports crowd flow, and helps with the safe and orderly loading of buses under the supervision of Supervisors. Event Staff play a key role in ensuring positive rider experiences during high-volume events. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of customer service, event support, or public-facing experience
- Ability to follow instructions and work under the direction of Supervisors
- Experience interacting with the public in fast-paced or high-traffic environments
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patrons and staff
Experience Preferences:
- Experience working on special events, transportation services, or crowd management
- Experience assisting with passenger loading, queuing, or boarding procedures
- Experience in public service, hospitality, security, or event operations
- Familiarity with public transportation systems or large-scale event logistics
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds as needed
- Ability to climb steps, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements
- Adequate vision, hearing, and communication ability to assist patrons and respond to instructions
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
Education Preferences:
- Coursework or training in customer service, hospitality, public safety, or event management
- Certifications related to crowd control, safety awareness, or customer service
