Join the EVENTS TEAM team at our exciting entertainment complex! THE BIG CHILL is a family-friendly venue located on scenic Hwy 30A, nestled between Alys Beach and Seaside. Our property hosts 6 restaurants, 2 bars, retail shops, an arcade, an amphitheater for live music, and a 25’ LED Jumbotron for sports & movies. We provide a fun and lively gathering spot for families and friends to enjoy good food & positive vibes!
Position: If you enjoy creating fun and excitement, connecting with people of all ages, and getting a party started, this is the role for you. This person will be the life of the party, ensuring family events are full of energy, laughter, and lasting memories.
Responsibilities: The Event Staff will assist with a variety of tasks related to event planning and execution, including but not limited to:
Pre-Event Support:
Helping with the creation and organization of event materials
Assisting with logistical planning, such as floor plans and seating arrangements.
Packing and preparing event supplies.
On-Site Event Support:
Assisting with event setup and breakdown.
Greeting and engaging guests on property during events.
Supporting performers, and upholding The Big Chill entertainment standards
Managing audio/video for the property during events
MC and announcements
Troubleshooting on-site issues as they arise.
Assisting with crowd control and maintaining a positive event atmosphere.
Post-Event Support:
Assisting with post-event wrap-up and organization.
Gathering and compiling event feedback.
Assisting with data entry and analysis of event metrics.
Contributing to post-event reports and debriefs.
Organizing and inventorying event equipment.
Qualifications:
Exciting, energetic and positive team member that is passionate in creating a best-in-class guest experience
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Strong situational management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to lift up to [e.g., 25-30] pounds and stand for extended periods during events.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
