    Event Specialist – Job Description The Event Specialist plays a critical role in delivering high-touch, hospitality-driven event experiences for our neighbors (guests). This role owns the planning and coordination of events for a defined region of theater locations, managing event requests from initial inquiry through final handoff to the theater team. This position is fully remote, hourly, and requires consistent focus, strong judgment, and the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent event requests. Work Expectations This is a full-time, hourly position with an expectation of 40 hours per week. The role is fully remote and requires a high level of engagement, responsiveness, and mental focus. This is not a casual or low-effort role; candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with sustained workload and responsibility. Reporting & Growth The Event Specialist reports directly to the Events Manager. As the Events department grows, there may be future opportunities for expanded responsibility and career development based on performance and department needs. Responsibilities: • Own and manage all event inquiries for an assigned region, handling approximately 40% of inbound event demand. • Respond to new event inquiries promptly and professionally, serving as the primary point of contact for neighbors. • Qualify leads, set expectations, and convert inquiries into booked events. • Plan events from start to finish during the pre-event phase, including contracts, logistics, special instructions, and payments. • Drive event revenue by qualifying leads, recommending appropriate packages and add-ons, and converting inquiries into booked events through consultative, hospitality-driven sales conversations. • Coordinate event details with theater teams through clear contract terms and documented instructions. • Exercise sound judgment when balancing guest requests with company guidelines, escalating complex decisions as needed. • Provide limited day-of-event support when required and assist with coverage as needed. • Conduct post-event follow-up as appropriate and contribute to internal reporting and tracking. • Collaborate closely with the Events Manager and Events team to ensure consistent standards and outcomes. Qualifications: **Required Skills & Qualifications ** • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with reliable internet access. • Applicant must have permanent residence within 30 miles of the existing NCG Cinemas location. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including frequent phone and email interaction. • Comfortable working in a computer-based role and learning multiple software platforms. • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • Ability to manage a high volume of requests while maintaining attention to detail. • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, particularly when guest expectations and internal guidelines conflict. • Demonstrated ability to sustain focus and performance in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Compensation: $19.50 hourly
