    JOB DESCRIPTION

    A HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST is responsible for enhancing the relationship between the company and employees while delivering on corporate and local employee-oriented initiatives. The HR Generalist is responsible for day-to-day HR responsibilities for an assigned facility through addressing employee questions and concerns and identifying areas of improvement through centralization, automation or task elimination to focus on value added activities to improve employee experience and performance.

    While supporting a location and their employees, this HR Generalist role will act as the subject matter expert on HR financial process and transactions in partnership with the Finance department. Payroll reporting, 401k process management, tax reporting and process and other related matters will be within the responsibility of this role at an enterprise level.

    CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Organize and lead weekly or monthly meetings with employees and operational / functional leadership

    • Work closely with business leaders to better understand the needs of the company and specifically the needs of the employees

    • Coordinate recruiting activities including light recruiting, management of temporary employee agencies and onboarding of new employees

    • Coach, lead and mentor employee facing business leaders to meet objectives

    • Create job descriptions for new hires and identify the skills, knowledge and abilities required for success

    • Create forums for communication with all levels of the company. In addition to understanding the needs management expresses, the HR Business Partner must also be able to convey those needs to other employees.

    • Lead the implementation and adoption of HR oriented projects. Provide feedback to HR shared services related to the effectiveness of project implementation

    • Resolve employee and business-related problems that arise in the organization. Identify the problem and then to come up with a solution to overcome and share the results with peers

    • Provide intake to employee requests and issues and own resolution by leveraging available resources (system workflows, HR shared service or outsourced solutions). Communicate status and updates as required with employees

    • Support business leaders to assess and develop current team members and identify areas of training needs and improvement

    • Act as the liaison between HR and the Finance department to provide reporting and analysis as needed on matters related to payroll, 401k, benefits, tax and other financial reporting matters

    • Partner with HR shared services and all internal functions to implement programs and measure success while constantly seeking process improvement

    • Partner with HR team members to create an integrated approach, influenced by data to drive a best-in-class Employee Experience

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BA in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource Management, Data Analytics or a related field or equivalent experience

    • 5+ years leading HR functions in mid to large companies

    • Knowledge and experience working with HRIS platforms and reporting specific to financial output

    • Experience working with and leading employees through growth and development practices and activities
