    Everde Growers is a leader within the horticulture industry with a true coast-to-coast footprint consisting of over 6,700 acres in production encompassing 14 farm locations throughout Texas, Florida, California, and Oregon. Our superior growing methods and pruning practices ensure consistent high quality and availability. Our inventory mix includes trees, shrubs, perennials, palms, grasses, succulents, tropicals, fruit, and many other items.

    We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team at our Winters location in the western Sacramento valley in northern California.  You will need to bring your upbeat and positive demeanor, passion, and creativity to provide support to the outside sales representatives by assisting with orders, typically over the telephone, fax or other means.  You will also be developing your own customer base via telemarketing, direct mail, and other sources.

    Your job duties will include:

    · Receiving and responding to customer inquiries and orders over the telephone, e-mail, fax or other means of communication

    · Entering customer data and orders in the computer system (Oracle) and checking them for accuracy and completeness, as well as preparing reports as required

    · Having daily check-ins with the Outside Sales Representatives and the Distribution Department

    · Communicating with customers as to delivery times, follow-up, selling products or services, providing product photos, and resolving any issues

    · Assisting in locating plants and brokered items

    · Generating purchase orders as requested, and processing credit memos as required

    · Working collectively with entire sales team (inside and commissioned outside sales) to timely process daily order requirements and meet cut-offs for overall sales team.

    · Compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, aged leads, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources. In addition, by making direct contact with them and building customer relationships

    · Handling inbound sales lead calls for converting calls into sales

    · Tracking stock levels and knowing general availability of the nursery

    · Traveling to and attending trade shows as required

    · Assisting with physical inventory when necessary

    WHAT WE NEED:

    · Associate degree (A.A) from two-year college or university relating to Horticulture; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

    · Knowledge of plant material in the landscape environment is an absolute MUST

    · Must hold a valid Driver’s License if required to drive

    · Oracle experience helpful but not mandatory

    · Must have computer skills and be comfortable operating a computer with a keyboard and mouse for 90% of a work day. (35 w.p.m.)

    · Have a working knowledge of all Windows desktop operations including Excel, Word and Outlook.

    · Bilingual Spanish/English is a definite plus but not required
