    Summary of Position: The Controller for Everest Ice and Water Systems will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company. This position plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health and stability of the organization. This position will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and providing critical financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The Controller will report directly to the VP of Operations and will also oversee all aspects of accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, R&D credits, budgeting, inventory, cost of goods sold, fixed assets, tax and reporting and compliance, cash flow analysis, audits, and financial reporting and analysis.

    What You’ll Do:

    Oversee Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable processes, including entering daily invoices/bills/journal entries/weekly check runs/monthly accruals, and special projects for several portfolio companies.

    Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.

    Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.

    Ensure vendor invoices and check requests are paid by authorization and approval policies and follow up on invoices not approved

    Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

    Oversees employee payroll.

    Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

    What You’ll Need:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.

    5-7 years or more of related experience required.

    Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.

    Minimum of 4 years of dynamic experience in a manufacturing accounting environment.

    Experience in QuickBooks or QuickBooks online.

    Cost accounting experience. Expert with excel skills and knowledge.

    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

    Able to travel as needed.

    Excellent management and supervisory skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

    Must be results-oriented, self-starter, driven toward continuous improvement.

    Ability to manage large data sets to extract insights from the data.

    High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

    Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a complex and fast-paced environment.

    Ability to communicate and collaborate across the organization, up and down the ladder of seniority.

    Works both independently and with a team.
