The Everest Surgical Institute will be located on the first floor of a two-story, 18,300 square foot building located at 2960 E. St. Luke’s Street in Meridian, Idaho.
The 1st floor will be a 100% surgeon-owned ASC consisting of three large Class C operating rooms large enough to support any out-patient/same day surgeries.
The 2nd floor will have three medical office/clinic pods where surgeons can rotate using the office/clinic space for their patient visits & clinical work on the days/times they are not operating in the ASC downstairs.
Construction started in October 2020 and will be completed with CSM deemed status AAAHC and will gain full accreditation in the fall of 2021.

Overview
The ASC Director of Nursing will oversee clinical operations of this state-of-the art Surgery Center. You will oversee clinical and administrative staff that will support the operations. This ASC will be certified by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The Director of Nursing Services will be joining a state-of-the-art, 9,000 square-foot facility that is equipped with the most advanced and comprehensive technology in order to ensure the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities
The Director of Nursing is responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the facility. They will assume responsibility as the Director of the OR, Preop, PACU, and Administrative staff. The Director of Nursing is also responsible for overseeing the facilities quality improvement, risk management, infection control, and education of the teammates. As a Registered Nurse, the Director of Nursing is responsible to work in patient care. The DON confirms proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted Standards of Nursing Practice and organizational policies and procedures. The Director of Nursing is also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. Providing leadership to a wonderfully experienced staff of nurses and technicians, and continually assessing and revising policies and procedures to improve the surgery center’s services will also be the responsibility of the Director of Nursing.
Personnel Management
Communicate, implement, and follow personnel policies and procedures within the Surgery Center.
Coordinate with Human Resources when issues arise regarding personnel policies and procedures.
Define staffing requirements that are in alignment with regulations/guidelines, within the budget, and ensure that staffing levels are met.
Ensure that each new clinical employee completes an orientation and that the employee performs the required duties of his/her job effectively and efficiently.
Ensure staff performance reviews are completed according to organization policy.
Identify training needs of individuals and groups of staff and ensure they are met and that continuous in-service training requirements are met.
Budget and Financial Performance.
Monitor block time utilization regarding allocation of block time.
Process Management
Identify and request supplies, equipment, technology and other resources necessary for high quality patient care and efficient function of the surgery center.
Coordinate operations within the Surgery Center and Surgeons offices.
Provide oversite, preparation and direction to meet regulatory compliance guidelines for Centers of Medicare and Medicaid.
Ensure good communication and expectations of the surgery center with vendors.
Leadership
Act as a problem solving and decision-making resource to staff and physicians.
Provide direction to staff and Physicians while supporting the organization’s mission, vision, values and goals.
Work to maintain high morale and job satisfaction amongst surgery center staff.
Promote the development of self- directed teams within the surgery center
Maintains a collegial relationship with physicians and allied health professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing required
Current RN licensure is required
BLS Certification required
ACLS certification required
5 years Nursing Management experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, practice management, and E.H.R. software
Knowledge / experience in process improvement and tactical/operational problem solving
Strong leadership skills with emphasis on the ability to maintain a high performing team
