About the Role:

We're looking for someone to captain one of our 6-passenger airboats, showing folks around the backwaters of Everglades City while sharing stories about the area, local history, wildlife, and what it's like growing up out here.

We're a small, family-owned business, so everybody pitches in. While your main role would be to captain a airboat, on slower days you might be stocking drinks, fixing little things around the property, tidying up, helping guests, or whatever else needs doing.

Responsibilities:

Operate airboats safely and efficiently while navigating the unique ecosystems of the Everglades.

Provide engaging commentary and information to guests about local wildlife and the environment.

Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during tours.

Maintain and inspect airboat equipment for optimal performance.

Assist in marketing efforts by promoting tours and engaging with potential customers.

Respond to guest inquiries and manage any issues that arise during tours.

Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall guest experience.

Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

Valid captain's license.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Understands that in a family business, no job is beneath you.
