    Job Description The Construction Expediter Internship plays an integral role in delivering high-quality roofing and siding services to customers and earning their referrals. The intern coordinates personnel and work processes to facilitate efficient worksite operations. The intern also performs quality assurance, troubleshooting, and administrative tasks to ensure that installations meet the highest standards and comply with building codes. Job Duties Major areas of responsibility for Construction Expediter Internship include logistics coordination, personnel management, administrative coordination, and quality assurance. Specific duties include the following: Logistics Coordination - Order building materials from suppliers for delivery to worksites - Manage drop off/pick up of dumpsters at worksites - Schedule final city inspections Personnel Management - Approve subcontractors' invoices and payments - Ensure subcontractors have all correct forms for accounting purposes - Assign work crews to jobs Administrative Coordination - Pull building permits - Maintain all activity in company CRM - Receive ice water pictures and subcontractors' bills - Create a job folder for accounting when the job receives "ready to order" status - Approve building material and subcontractor invoices - Manage touch points in email automation Quality Assurance - Analyze and coordinate failed job/warranty jobs received from the job supervisor intern - Examine roof, siding, gutter, and window orders from sales Primary Objectives - Ensure that materials are delivered to worksites as scheduled to prevent delays in project completion - Process subcontractor's invoices within NUMBER days of receipt - Enter project activity into the CRM system daily - Ensure that building permits are in place when crews begin jobs - Identify and troubleshoot issues with jobs and orders within 24 hours - Maintain thorough records to comply with legal requirements and ensure complete accounting of projects Job Requirements - Ability to learn and implement Evergreen's logistics policies and practices - Aptitude to track delivery of materials to worksites - Ability to prioritize work, delegate responsibilities, and meet deadlines - Comfortable working with minimal supervision - Competency with managing multiple processes - Ability to make decisions that affect company resources - Capacity to work with team members to ensure high-quality installations and maximum customer satisfaction - Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts - Willingness and capacity to learn applicable building codes and other government regulations - Ability to work from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm Required Skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills - Solid coordination skills and meticulous attention to details - Excellent interpersonal and team-player skills Key Attributes - Positive attitude and energetic personality - Pride of ownership in quality of work and service - Highly motivated and hardworking - Outgoing personality with the ability to effectively handle hostile interactions - Calm and confident demeanor - Assertive and persistent nature - Methodical but flexible work style - Curiosity to grow and understand the business - Reliable, dedicated, and trustworthy Experience - Proven track record of employment for a minimum of 1 year - Proficiency with MS Office applications (knowledge of CRM software a plus) - Experience working in teams and groups - Customer service, logistics, and project management experience a plus but not required - Experience in the roofing, home improvement, or construction industries a plus but not required - Experience with administrative support field a plus but not required - Supervisory experience a plus but not required Education and Knowledge - At least two years of college coursework with BLANK GPA - Basic knowledge about sales and customer service principles and practices - College courses in business, communications, supply chain, logistics, distribution, business, and management a plus but not required Work Environment/Physical Demands Construction Expediter Internship works primarily in the office. The intern must meet the physical demands for office work to successfully perform the position's key functions. The Evergreen office is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where multi-tasking, flexibility, and adaptability to changing priorities are essential for success. The intern may sit at a desk for long periods, repeat the same movements, frequently use a computer and telephone, and regularly operate office equipment. The intern may also encounter moderate noise levels and frequent interruptions.
