    The Roofing and Siding Lead Intern oversees the sales process including marketing Evergreen's roofing, siding, and window repair/replacement services to target markets; meeting and greeting prospects to sell services; and ensuring successful project completion. The intern also delivers excellent service to customers to earn their referrals. Job Duties Major areas of responsibility for the Roofing and Siding Lead Intern include sales, marketing/prospecting, customer service, project management, and professional development. Specific duties include the following: Sales - Sell roofing, siding, and window repair and replacement - Target owners whose homes have old and/or storm-damaged exteriors - Perform daily selling outside in metro neighborhoods assigned by senior project leads - Use interactive contracts/forms on an Evergreen issued laptop to close deals Marketing/Prospecting - Use multiple methods to build awareness of Evergreen's services including connecting with target markets on social media, placing yard signs in targeted areas, and participating in neighborhood social channels Customer Service - Serve as the sales contact and customer service representative, which involves serving as the connection between homeowners and Evergreen from project start to completion of the install - Answer all homeowners' emails, texts, and phone calls within 24 hours - Follow up with every homeowner within NUMBER days after project completion to ensure that Evergreen has earned his or her referral Project Management - Perform daily sales pipeline management via Evergreen's CRM - Perform final inspections on Evergreen's crews (after 120 days with the company) Professional Development - Engage in bi-weekly sales development coaching sessions with an assigned senior project lead to improve sales techniques and customer service skills Primary Objectives - Make NUMBER sales calls and BLANK demos per month - Close NUMBER clients per month - Generate DOLLAR FIGURE in sales per month - Generate NUMBER customer referrals per month - Develop and implement marketing strategies - Perform accurate upkeep of CRM system - Conduct thorough crew inspections - Strengthen sales and customer service skills Job Requirements - Ability to learn and implement the Evergreen sales approach - Ability to work evenings and weekends - Comfortable knocking on doors and talking to homeowners - Reliable vehicle and proof of registration - Valid driver's license and safe driving record - Proof of valid car insurance - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Required Skills - Ability to work independently and achieve sales goals - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to negotiate and close deals - Proactive approach to problem-solving - Strong prioritizing and time management skills - Solid organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent team-player skills - Ability to deliver presentations tailored to prospects' needs Key Attributes - Positive attitude and energetic personality - Competitive mindset - Pride of ownership in quality of work and service - Highly motivated and hardworking - Outgoing personality with the ability to effectively handle rejection - Curiosity to grow and understand the business Experience - Proven track record of employment for a minimum of 1 year - Proficiency with MS Office applications (knowledge of CRM software a plus) - Experience working in teams and groups - Customer service and sales experience a plus but not required - Previous experience in roofing, home improvement, or construction a plus but not required Education and Knowledge - At least two years of college coursework with BLANK GPA - Basic knowledge about sales and customer service principles and practices - College courses in business, communications, marketing, and sales a plus Work Environment/Physical Demands The intern works primarily in the field but also performs certain duties in the office. The intern must meet the physical demands for both work environments to successfully perform the position's key functions. - Outdoor Work Environment The intern may spend several hours alone traveling throughout sales territories to make sales calls to homeowners. The intern may encounter rude or aggressive prospects and may encounter potentially dangerous situations. He or she may be exposed to extreme cold or heat, rain, and snow and may encounter pets and other animals. The intern is required to inspect roofs and siding on homes, carry a ladder, climb an 8/12 pitch from a ladder, and lift 25 to 50 pounds. Frequent walking, standing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching may be required. The intern must also possess the visual acuity to identify issues with roofing and siding on homes, use a laptop to close deals, and perform final inspections of crews' work. While in the field, the employee maintains contact with a supervisor and team members for support and guidance. He or she is required to follow safety standards for lone workers. - Office Environment The Evergreen office is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where multi-tasking, flexibility, and adaptability to changing priorities are essential for success. The intern may sit at a desk for long periods, repeat the same movements, frequently use a computer and telephone, and regularly operate office equipment. The intern may also encounter moderate noise levels and frequent interruptions.
