    Job Summary

    Perform accounting and clerical functions to support department.

    Essential Job Functions

    Prepare and process billings for client fees monthly

    Prepare and input Journal Entries for fees receivables

    Enter all deposits into receivables ledger

    Balance accounts receivables to general ledger monthly

    Assist in preparation of yearly audit reports

    Prepare and transmit electronically billings

    Process Medicaid notice forms as required

    Close month, process and run reports

    Prepare and maintain spreadsheets for all cost reports

    Provide client wage information to Medicaid

    Handle state Medicaid issues, questions & concerns

    Prepare any rebilling of denied claims

    Punctual and regular attendance

    Qualifications/Experience/Job Knowledge

    High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred

    Read, write and follow verbal and written instructions

    Basic accounting knowledge

    More than one year of experience in accounting field

    Working knowledge of 10-key adding machine

    Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite of products. The ability to learn additional systems as required.

    Constantly moves about to coordinate work

    Regularly works in fast pace environment with multiple task deadlines

    Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 25 pounds

    Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions

    Constantly alert and observant during working hours

    Special Requirements

    May be required to attend seminar or job-related training courses.

    Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships with Evergreen staff and with contacts from other agencies or entities.

    Must be able to prioritize work tasks.

    Employment Variables Must have a good driving record which meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation. Must pass drug screen and criminal background check. Must be able to work some evenings when required.

    Working Environment

    General office environment.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position will not have direct reports.
