Job Summary
Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to ensure compliance with financial filings required, annual budgetary activities, and other financial activities within the organization.
Essential Job Functions
Prepare operational and capital budgets including:
o Develop and implement all financial budget tools and spreadsheets for the budget process; Develop budget preparation timelines in conjunction with CFO.
o Coordinate budget data worksheets for distribution to and receipt from operational staff.
o Prepare detailed operational and capital budgets for review by CFO.
o Input data for detailed budgets into the general ledger system.
o Conduct periodic operational audits of purchasing practices in search of spending efficiencies. o Oversee financial activities of HUD projects including budget preparation, monthly monitoring, and facilitating of annual audits and compliance reporting.
Manage and prepare required governmental compliance reports including:
o Cost report preparations and filings for state Medicaid departments.
o Prepare and file IRS Forms 990 for the Evergreen and affiliated non-profit corporations.
o Prepare federal and state financial surveys as necessary.
Assist with the preparation of any special studies, analyses, and reports as directed by the CFO or Controller.
Manage outside audits conducted by CPA firms, state Medicaid auditors, etc.
Conduct periodic financial systems training for staff as necessary.
Monthly accounting and oversight of Miscellaneous Receivables.
Assistance with Special Needs Trust Administration.
Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field.
Three (3) years of working experience in Accounting or related finance field.
Must have knowledge of sound accounting practices and have the ability to implement.
Combination of education and experience will be considered.

Will not supervise.
Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of Windows 10, Office 2016 applications.
Aptitude to learn other software programs as required for this position.
Employment Variables
Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Must have a good driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation
Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Must be able to work some evenings and weekends when required.
Occasional travel.
