Job Description

The Engineering Technician will apply basic engineering fundamentals with responsibilities of design, drafting, and documentation support. This position may assist manufacturing personnel in troubleshooting problems during the assembly of a product, the manufacturing of parts or sub-assemblies, or the qualification of a product before shipment.  This position may assist Purchasing personnel in resolving vendor part issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Accurate BOM Structuring & Documentation - utilization of the PDM system.
• Accurate Drawings - utilization of the Solidworks system.
• Accurate BOM, Drawings, & Specs - utilization of PDM, Solidworks & AutoCAD systems.
• Accurate Information - utilization of PDM, Solidworks & AutoCAD systems.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. degree in Mechanical Design Technology, manufacturing or equivalent experience 
• 2-4 years mechanical design experience
• High Proficiency with SolidWorks solid modeling CAD system
• Experience with estimating costs of manufactured components
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Independent and self-motivated, yet able to work in a process-centered team environment
