This pivotal role encompasses the management, maintenance, and monitoring of all technology-based systems and associated infrastructure within the company.     In this multifaceted position, as a Data Infrastructure Engineer, you will be integral to designing and maintaining state-of-the-art data infrastructure systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.     Responsibilities and Duties

    • Designing, building, and maintaining robust data infrastructure systems, including distributed compute, data orchestration, distributed storage, and streaming infrastructure, while prioritizing scalability, reliability, and security.

    • Establishing and enforcing policies for the accurate, secure, and lawful handling of data across the organization.

    • Providing enterprise-level application and technical support to end users, both remotely and in-person, covering installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

    • Working closely with key external IT service providers to resolve support requests and ensure optimal system performance.

    • Proactively identifying, diagnosing, and resolving any issues related to computer hardware, software, services, and applications.

    • Monitoring and maintaining infrastructure, including configuration, patching, automation, hardening, and system upgrades to guarantee uptime, availability, reliability, and security.

    • Acting as a liaison with third-party vendors and IT providers for specialized requirements.

    • Documenting, tracking, and enforcing IT policies and procedures across the organization.

    • Managing enterprise IT projects from conception to completion.

    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required

    • Experience with advanced PowerShell scripting and SQL database management.

    • Proficiency in system administration.

    • Deep understanding of Data Governance principles and practices, including data quality, data management, and compliance with data protection regulations.

    • Experience in implementing and managing data cataloging, data lineage, and metadata management tools.

    • Hands-on experience with Windows OS 10/11, MSFT Azure Cloud, and AD Management.

    • Expertise in Azure Cloud infrastructure, virtual servers, and application management.

    • Solid understanding of networking hardware/software, including switches, firewalls, and LAN/WAN setups.

    • Familiarity with remote desktop applications (AVD) and MSP support software.

    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

    Good to have:

    • Demonstrated experience in cloud security practices, with a focus on securing cloud-based environments and data protection.

    • Practical knowledge of data analytics platforms and tools, enabling the analysis and visualization of data infrastructure performance metrics.

    • Understanding of regulatory compliance standards within the financial industry, including GDPR, CCPA, and SOX, to ensure IT practices meet legal and ethical requirements.

    • Proven ability to manage complex IT projects from inception to completion, showcasing strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines within budget.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively across diverse teams.

    Education / Professional Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field.

    • 5+ years of experience in data infrastructure engineering and data governance

    • 3+ years of experience in systems administration.

    • 3+ years of experience in advanced power shell scripting and SQL database management.

    • 3+ years of experience in Windows OS 10/11, MSFT Azure Cloud, and AD Management.

    • 3+ years of experience in Azure Cloud infrastructure.
