JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee tax engagements from start to finish including budgeting, staffing, planning, production and profitability
• Hold primary client responsibility as a point of contact and resource.
• Complete preparation and review of more complex tax returns, reviewing easy to medium returns and researching technical issues.
• Aid business development with clients and non-clients to expand our practice, and begin to develop prospects.
• Concentrate on practice development with both prospective and existing clients.
• Train and develop staff and other team members in both Maryland and Virginia offices.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or a related field required, Master's Degree in Taxation preferred.
• CPA certification required with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Experience conceptualizing, developing, and monitoring the work flow for tax preparation.
• Experience preparing complex returns for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, LLC's, Partnerships, trusts, high wealth individuals, and nonprofits.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Fluent in writing and speaking English.
