We are looking for a new Javascript Developer to be an essential contributor to the entire software lifecycle including: architecture, design, coding, testing, integration, deployment, maintenance and support. This role works closely with other team members in an agile programming atmosphere and may be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, as well as corrections. In this role you will be responsible for the specification, design, development, testing, documentation and implementation of interactive television software applications utilizing HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Our JavaScript Developer will be expected to have:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience (or degree in Computer Science with equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of JavaScript
- 3+ years of HTML/CSS
- 1+ year of React or Node.js
- 1+ year of Google Closure
They will be able to:
- Access and write to MySQL databases
- Write raw JavaScript without depending on framework
- Interpret business requirements and translate them into functional design components with minimal direction
- Accurately describe and/or present highly technical designs and systems to a non-technical audience (both verbally and written)
- Report on status of projects to stakeholders and upper management
- Attend and contribute to project design and planning meetings
- Tackle complex software problems including coding, testing and troubleshooting
- Proactively research and recommend ways of improving performance and usability of applications.
- Write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
- Work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast paced environment and effectively multitask multiple priorities.
- Show a knack for fixing bugs instinctively
Our Javascript Developers are expected to have:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Practical experience developing and deploying web-based applications
- Background in interactive television application development strongly desired
- 7+ years professional software development
- 5+ years experience with JavaScript and HTML/CSS
- 1+ year experience with React, Node.JS
- Excellent communication, planning, organization and follow-up skills
- Experience working with streaming video and video players
