Ewald & Wasserman Research Consultants (E&W) is a women-owned small business located in San Francisco that focuses on social science research studies and provides project management for academic, health care, non-profit and commercial clientele in the social science and behavioral research field, including state and federal agencies. E&W offers high quality data collection and survey consulting services using multi-mode telephone, mail, in-person and web- based survey research approaches.
We have a study starting at the end of May that is about tobacco prevention. It entails getting a list of stores to visit over a 6 week period of time. The job requires driving to about 120 different stores around the Bay Area that sell tobacco products. The locations will be in these counties:
Marin
San Mateo
Santa Clara
San Jose
The study would require use of a car (your own or a rental), very succinct travel planning to prepare smart and efficient routes in the field, and the ability to keep track of time and mileage.
This is not a study that requires specific shifts, however you will be instructed on the “window of dates” that you will have to visit the assigned stores. The schedule for work will be flexible and include weekends if desired. There will be a paid training in SF at the end of May and the data collection will start soon after.
There will be another tobacco related study in August 2024 that will require driving to locations further in CA and a great opportunity to explore more of the state. There will be a paid 2 day training for that study at the end of July.
The Field Interviewer at E&W Research is a part-time, on-call, non-exempt, project-based position, designed for a flexible individual with experience in social science data collection and an adaptable and proactive work attitude. The rate of pay is $24- $25/hr based on experience.
Candidates applying should have a keen eye for detail, be very reliable, follow directions carefully, and work very well independently or in a small team. This is a great opportunity to learn about data collection and research practices. It is ideal for candidates with flexible schedules and positive, "can do" attitudes.
E&W Research is an at-will employer. This means that both you and E&W Research reserve the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time for any reason.
