WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will be joining the research team, which is responsible for the research and lab operations of the company.  You will be working alongside accomplished RNA and cancer biologists and have the opportunity to learn new skills while contributing to the development of an innovative liquid biopsy platform.  You will contribute by:

•    Working as a member of a collaborative research team to support development of a new liquid biopsy assay.

•    Working independently with minimal supervision, carry out specialized experimental procedures using established methods and protocols. These will include RNA isolation, qRT-PCR and NGS library preparation.

•    Assisting in reagent preparation and general lab organization.

•    Maintaining detailed records in a lab notebook. Organize data in a table or graph format and perform statistical analysis.

•    Working in an environment handling biological and chemical materials after appropriate safety training in compliance with the institutional workplace safety policy.  

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

•    BA or BS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genomics, or a related discipline, with a minimum of two years hands-on experience in a research lab; Or, an MS degree with a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in a research lab. 

•    Sound knowledge of standard laboratory procedures, equipment, and record keeping skills is required. Familiarity with Google docs, sheets and slides, and with Benchling, is desired. 

•    Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to effectively multi-task.

•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•    Preferred candidates will have previous lab experience working with RNA, performing qRT-PCR and generating NGS libraries.  

•    You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including all eligible booster(s), with the exception of a medical or religious exemption
