ExamSoft Worldwide is looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the company website. You will work with the UI/UX designer, marketing team, and other stakeholders to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation. You'll take an active role in defining how the company website looks, as well as how it works for end users.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop new user-facing features for website and future applications.  

• Ensure company website meets modern technical and branding standards to promote company message and products. 

• Build landing pages for marketing campaigns while also continually updating, designing, and improving website usability 

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use 

• Ability to work with outside developers and various internal departments as needed. 

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs consistent with modern brand and industry standards. 

• Optimize website and applications for maximum speed and scalability

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Excellent knowledge of HTML, HTML5, CSS, XML, MVC, and JavaScript/JQuery and other frameworks 

• Strong Professional WordPress Website and Application Development Experience.  

• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications on other CMS (e.g. Joomla, Drupal, Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento) is a benefit but not required. 

• Familiarity with databases (MySQL), web servers, wireframe development, and UI/UX design 

• Knowledge of  back-end languages (PHP) is required. 

• Proficiency in managing server resources and ensuring cross-platform optimization across internet browsers and operating systems 

• Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS 

• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX 

• Familiarity with web strategies for lead generation (e.g. HubSpot), search engine optimization (SEO), and best digital marketing practices 

• Familiarity with web data analytics tools like Google Analytics and/or similar tools  

• Ability to follow established workflow and project management procedures  

• Ability to work under strict deadlines with competing priorities while still delivering superior work 

• Capable of balancing a project's requirements with schedule, budget, and resource limitations 

• Ability to present technical information in non-technical terms to co-workers and management 

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills 

• Visual design experience (iconography, typography, composition) with expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Acrobat) 

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)/Mercurial/SVN

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:  

At least 4+ years' experience with front-end development in a professional environment. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:  

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
