    Location: I-40 project Raleigh, NC & Various sites (travel required)

    Reports To: Site Foreman

    Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Excavator Operator to join our team on a portable aggregate crushing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, performing maintenance tasks, lubrication, and clean-up duties to ensure efficient and safe operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Excavator Operation: Operate excavators to load aggregate materials into the crushing plant, ensuring optimal productivity and safety.
    • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the excavator and other equipment, including checking fluid levels, inspecting parts, and making minor repairs as needed.
    • Lubrication: Apply lubricants to machinery components to reduce wear and tear and ensure smooth operation.
    • Clean-Up: Maintain cleanliness of the worksite by removing debris, cleaning equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
    • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Reporting: Document and report any issues or malfunctions to the Site Foreman promptly.
    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators, preferably in a crushing plant environment.
    • Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
    • Technical Skills: Knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and lubrication practices.
    • Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
    • Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.

    Working Conditions:

    • Environment: Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
    • Travel: Frequent travel to different job sites as required.
    • Hours: Full-time position with potential for overtime.
