26 Foot Box Truck Driver

Job Description: As a Box Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. You will primarily operate a box truck, typically 26 feet long, and transport various types of cargo within designated routes. The position requires you to work during nighttime hours, specifically between 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM, allowing for flexibility during the day. Because we operate based on capacity your start hours might vary. 

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a box truck to transport goods to designated locations within a regional mile radius.
• Load and unload cargo using proper techniques, securing items to prevent damage during transit.
• Plan routes and adhere to the assigned schedule to ensure timely deliveries.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to guarantee optimal performance and report any issues to the appropriate department.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to ensure smooth operations and resolve any potential issues that may arise.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safety and compliance.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license.
• Proven experience as a box truck driver or a similar role, demonstrating a clean driving record or minor issues. Please call to discuss if this sounds like a role you are interested in. 
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws, regulations, and routes within the designated area.
• Excellent driving skills and the ability to navigate efficiently, even in challenging situations.
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording delivery information.
• Flexibility to work during nighttime hours, between 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
• Must have cell phone with data plan.
• Need the ability to get a driver's medical card at your own expense. 
• May be willing to get drug tested regularly.
• CDL License is not required
