    The Insurance Agent position is Full Time and Temp to Hire, with the hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The pay rate for this position is $14-20/hr (depending on experience and currently held insurance licenses), commission and bonuses are also offered – so for the sales oriented person, this could be a very lucrative career! If you have no experience but would be a good fit for the position, the client will re-imburse the required certification once/if you pass and gain the certification.     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Represent, service and sell the Agency’s products and services, specifically described as any and all Agency authorized client, current and new, insurance policies
    • Accurately represent and state Agency policies to all potential and current customers
    • Promptly process and submit all new policies and renewal policies according to Agency standards
    • Inform the Agent of all problems concerning Agency customers or prospects
    • Inform the Agent if the Agency Producer is representing, or plans to represent any other business firm. In no event shall the Agency Producer represent a competitive Agency or product line while employed with the Agency
    • Ensuring correct Agent ID is reflected on any new policies written solely by the Agency Producer
    • Contact businesses and private individuals in person or by telephone in order to secure and schedule appointments for the Agent
    • Obtain basic prospect information such as name, address, and payment method, as well as current insurance and risk information
    • Record names, addresses, purchases and reactions of prospects contacted along with taking payments over the phone and in person
    • Maintain records of contacts and activity
    • Assist Agent with training of Marketer(s)
    • Telephone or write letters/e-mails in response to correspondence from customers, or to follow up on initial sales contacts
    • Deliver and develop prepared sales discussions, reading from scripts that persuade potential prospects to meet with Agent with the intent to purchase insurance products
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Property and/or Casualty Insurance Licenses are highly desirable
    • Ability to properly communicate through both oral and written correspondence
    • Must have strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently, with little to no instruction, as well as on a team
    • Self-motivated and willing to learn new things
    • Strong phone skills
