Job Description

We're expanding and are looking to add a third team member to our small but growing office! Primary duties / cross trained in these areas:

• hands-on optical sales - assisting patients with eyewear selection in conjunction with vision plans (VSP, EyeMed, Davis)
• Appointment scheduling, general clerical duties, email communication with patients
• Medical insurance eligibility checking and claims
• Pretesting patients (auto-refractor, non-contact tonometry, auto-lensometry)
• Performing Humphrey visual field, fundus photography, iVue OCT and other instrumentation
• Training patients on the proper use and care of contact lenses
• Minor frame adjustment or repair

Qualifications

• Dynamic "Ritz Carlton" customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good listener, critical thinker, creative problem solving
• Outstanding communication skills
• Computer literate, ability to type at least 60 words per minute
• Must excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Reliable, hard working, enthusiastic, team player
• Confident, self-starter
• With excellent references and proven work history
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, and/reach overhead
• Love for eye care
