    Job Description

    Bryce Space and Technology is seeking an experienced Executive Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative and operational support to senior leadership within the Department of Defense. This position requires a proactive, highly organized individual capable of managing complex schedules, coordinating across multiple functional areas, and ensuring seamless daily operations in a fast-paced, sensitive environment.

    Customer Background Information: The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)) serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense on all matters related to acquisition, sustainment, logistics, industrial policy, and defense procurement across the Department of Defense (DoD). OUSD(A&S) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing policies that enable the delivery of defense capabilities effectively, efficiently, and affordably in support of national security objectives.

    OUSD(A&S) leads initiatives to modernize acquisition processes, strengthen the defense industrial base, promote innovation, and ensure the lifecycle sustainment of military systems. The office also provides oversight of key areas including supply chain resilience, operational energy, environmental and safety compliance, and materiel readiness to maintain military effectiveness and global competitiveness.

    Minimum Knowledge and Description of the work :

    • Provide executive-level administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, correspondence preparation, and travel planning for senior leadership.
    • Manage and oversee task tracking, personnel coordination, and workflow prioritization to ensure timely completion of assignments.
    • Draft, edit, and proofread official correspondence, reports, presentations, and briefing materials with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
    • Coordinate and manage logistics for meetings, conferences, and events, including handling facilities, security requirements, and technical support needs.
    • Maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth information flow and issue resolution.
    • Provide oversight and direction to multiple direct reports and coordinate administrative support activities across various locations.
    • Assist with planning, programming, and forecasting activities in support of operational and strategic objectives.
    • Monitor and manage security protocols, facilities needs, and office resource requirements in compliance with DoD standards.
    • Proactively identify and solve problems, addressing issues quickly and efficiently to minimize disruption to leadership activities.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leaders, delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of two (2) years of executive-level administrative support experience, preferably within the Department of Defense.
    • Demonstrated experience managing multiple direct reports and functional areas across various locations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to produce high-quality written and visual materials.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and active listening skills, with a proven ability to assess and respond to customer needs effectively.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills, capable of delivering polished products under tight deadlines.
    • Outstanding customer service skills, initiative, judgment, creativity, flexibility, and confidence in supporting senior leaders.
    • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

    Educational Requirements: BS/BA from an accredited college or university

    Experience Requirements: 2 years of relative experience

    Additional Information

    A Secret Clearance is required.

    This position is subject to contract award.
