    SUMMARY

    The Executive Administrator for the Dean of the Seminary and Programs Team serves as a key member of the Programs Team, providing comprehensive administrative support to the Dean, Directors, and Registrar. This role involves coordinating and responding to a wide range of tasks essential to the effective operation of Eden’s academic programs. The position collaborates closely with Executive Administrators supporting the President, Vice President of Advancement, and Associate Dean for Admission and Student Support to ensure smooth planning and communication across departments. The executive administrator also serves as a welcoming and professional point of contact for faculty, staff, students, prospective students, Trustees, and guests, supporting the outward-facing functions of the Dean’s office and academic programs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Provide administrative support to the Dean, including such things as planning and preparation; internal and external communication; scheduling meetings/appointments.

    Provide administrative support to the Directors of the Programs Team (Directors of Contextual Education and CLFO/Walker Leadership), Director of Assessment, and Registrar.

    Proactively manage the planning processes of the Programs Team, as well as other planning processes coordinated with the Office of the President, Advancement, etc.

    Provide support for faculty and staff of the Programs Team in coordination with other staff to carry out the mission of the Seminary.

    Provide a front desk presence for the Dean and programs of the Seminary, generally, answering incoming calls to the Seminary as well as in-person visitors, accepting deliveries, and helping students.

    Provide support for the Dean in the preparation of presentation materials for Faculty meetings, Faculty and Curriculum Committee of the Board of Trustees Meetings, and other institutionally-significant meetings and events.

    Take minutes and maintain documentation of Faculty meetings and Faculty committees for access in institutional reporting.

    Arrange travel schedules and reservations for the Dean for institutional purposes as needed.

    Maintain Faculty files and support of the Dean in their evaluation, advancement, and tenure reviews of the Faculty and staff.

    Maintain and assess faculty teaching materials for assessment/institution reporting purposes.

    Support the Dean in managing email, postal mail, and other media correspondence.

    Serve as Programs Team representative for planning and implementation of regularly scheduled campus-wide events (e.g., Community Meals, Spring Convocation, Commencement, etc.)

    Other duties as assigned.

    This position will include a formal evaluation period for the first 3 months of employment, with subsequent annual review periods.
