    Since 1979, Keep Golden Isles Beautiful has been a leader in helping keep the Golden Isles of Georgia clean, green and beautiful.

    A volunteer and community based educational organization, volunteers contribute 9,000+ hours annually in Keep Golden Isles Beautiful efforts, programs and initiatives.

    Keep Golden Isles Beautiful is a Keep America Beautiful and Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation affiliate.

    A public/private partnership, Keep Golden Isles Beautiful depends on monetary, in-kind and volunteer support from individuals, businesses, local governments, civic/community organizations and schools to provide litter prevention, waste reduction, recycling, community greening, water resource and educational programming and activities to Brunswick and Glynn County citizens.

    A 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, Keep Golden Isles Beautiful functions under the leadership of a volunteer Board of Directors and Advisory Board and a two-person paid staff.

    Keep Golden Isles Beautiful seeks an Executive Assistant:

    MAJOR DUTIES

    • Handles all internal bookkeeping and monthly reports, interacts with accountant
    • Recordkeeping and tracking in Excel (programs, statistics and fundraisers)
    • Generates reports for Board of Directors and Executive Director
    • Compiles annual reports, quarterly reports and annual Cost Benefit Analysis
    • Core Partner Management and Invoicing
    • Conducts three annual partnership bulk mailings; other event bulk mailings
    • KGIB mailbox and processes donations; generates thank you notes
    • Pays KGIB bills
    • Handles cash (at events & purchases)
    • Purchasing Responsibilities; Manages and orders KGIB office supplies
    • Customer Service (walk ins, phone calls, answers questions and provides information)
    • Works with Volunteers
    • Board of Directors correspondence and monthly board meeting packet preparation
    • Manages the Clean Sweep Award program; maintains and tracks program database
    • Manages the TerraCycle nontraditional recycling program
    • Manages the annual School Recycling Challenge
    • Manages the Adopt-A Program; monthly correspondence with participants; recordkeeping
    • Manages the annual KGIB Golf Tournament fundraiser
    • Assists in third grade classroom presentations
    • Assists with the Community Jubilee fundraising event planning & implementation
    • Orders event banners & submits permits
    • Assists with online auction creation/maintenance
    • Assists with the KGIB monthly e-newsletter
    • Assists with KGIB social media efforts
    • Assists with KGIB education and outreach efforts as needed
    • Assists at the KGIB events including, but not limited to, the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, Sensitive Document Shredding event, Electronics Recycling & More event, Marsh Madness cleanups, Special Cleanups, CoastFest
    • Cultivates Funding Sources
    • Website maintenance

    COMPLEXITY / SCOPE OF WORK

    This work consists of in-office administrative duties, bookkeeping and record keeping duties, event planning duties, onsite/outside events and efforts, interaction with the general public in a customer service role.

    The purpose of this position is to support the executive director and board of directors, provide customer service to the public, interact with County/City government staff, manage the in-house bookkeeping and record keeping, plan and assist in events and education/outreach, and manage multiple volunteer centric programs.

    Some weekend and after-hours work as needed. Compulsory Attendance: KGIB Community Jubilee, KGIB Electronics Recycling & More event, KGIB Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, KGIB Golf Tournament, KGIB Sensitive Document Shredding Event, KGIB Monthly board meetings, CoastFest; Conducts several Marsh Madness cleanup events; Various Saturday and after-hours events/efforts.
