    New Bern Housing Authority is looking for a sharp, organized, and driven Executive Assistant to support our leadership team in New Bern, NC.     Responsibilities:

    Provide high-level administrative support to executive leadership, including calendar management and scheduling

    Prepare and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations, and official documents

    Coordinate meetings, board sessions, and special events, including logistics and agenda preparation

    Serve as a liaison between the executive office and internal departments, external agencies, and the public

    Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism

    Handle travel arrangements, expense reporting, and itinerary coordination

    Maintain organized filing systems and ensure timely follow-up on action items

    Requirements:

    Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role

    Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity

    Experience in a government, public housing, or nonprofit environment is a plus

    Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
