Responsibilities: • Incorporate different ingredients in a creative way to produce fresh and innovative menu items and specials • Provide guidance and direction to staff, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance to make the kitchen run efficiently • Control department costs that are under your management, such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment, and work with vendors to get the best products at a cost-effective price • Make decisions for daily culinary operations, including exceeding guest expectations and increasing revenue and profit • Teach recruits and hire staff that suit the business culture to provide a welcoming atmosphere for kitchen employees Qualifications: • Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers • This role requires experience building, motivating, and leading a team • Must have 7-8 years of culinary experience for this role Compensation: $80,000 per year
