Responsibilities: • Supervise all food preparation in the kitchen, including procedures, portioning, garnishing, and ensure that all meals and dishes are attractively presented • Teach recruits and hire staff that suit the business culture to provide a welcoming atmosphere for kitchen employees • Create new and unique menu items and specials using various ingredients in an innovative way • Make decisions for daily culinary operations, including exceeding guest expectations and increasing revenue and profit • Work with vendors to secure the best items at cost-effective pricing, and manage department expenses that are within your direct control such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment Qualifications: • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers • At least 7-8 years of culinary experience • Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements • Strong leadership skills with experience leading, motivating, and developing a team Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 yearly
