Key Responsibilities
Maintain quality control of all food prepared and ensure it meets the restaurant standards
Understand the operational set up and principle of the restaurant
Oversee, Develop and Collaborate with the Sous Chef
Uphold food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance by monitoring proper food handling, cleanliness, and kitchen procedures
Conduct inventory and place orders as needed
Complete necessary preparations for all food and individual stations prior to business operations or event
Coordinate with the kitchen team and provide support and assistance to any position(s)
Identify training needs for all back of house team members and positions
Hiring and training of all back of house team members to prepare and cook all menu items
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years in a senior kitchen leadership role within a high-volume restaurant
Valid Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification required.
Strong operational and financial acumen with experience managing food and labor costs, inventory controls, ordering systems, and budgeting to meet or exceed financial targets.
Ability to develop, execute, and uphold standardized recipes, plating, and production systems that deliver high-quality food across high guest counts.
Advanced working knowledge of culinary, inventory, and scheduling systems used to support high-volume kitchen operations.
Physical Abilities
Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objecting weighing less than or equal to 45 pounds without assistance
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual activity
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping
Requires manual ability to use, carry, and operate all necessary equipment
