A well-established, high-volume restaurant in the heart of Charleston’s vibrant King Street corridor is seeking a creative, passionate Executive Chef to lead its culinary program.
We are looking for a chef who thrives on executing bold flavors, respects the art of wood-fired cooking, and is eager to craft seasonal dishes.
About the Role:
This position is ideal for a hospitality-driven culinary leader who brings professionalism, creativity, and calm under pressure. You'll be hands-on in service, developing and mentoring your team, curating a strong culinary identity, and maintaining operational excellence from cost control to vendor relations.
We’re looking for someone with solid leadership experience, and a love for fresh, local ingredients—someone who understands what makes a dish memorable and a restaurant magnetic.
What You’ll Do:
Lead kitchen operations for a multi-level venue
Create innovative, craveable dishes that photograph as beautifully as they taste
Maintain culinary consistency, safety, cleanliness, and cost controls
Hire, train, and inspire a positive, driven back-of-house team
Oversee all culinary aspects of private events and high-volume services
Collaborate with service leadership on menu development, pacing, and guest experience
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 10 years culinary experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Skilled in grill-forward cooking styles
Strong organizational and communication skills
Comfortable managing high-volume dinner services and private events
ServSafe Certified (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Familiar with restaurant tech platforms (e.g. Toast, Restaurant365, Microsoft Suite)
Salary & Perks:
$70,000–$85,000 annually, based on experience
