    About the Organization Good Counsel Learning Center provides individualized tutoring and educational support rooted in the SSND tradition of compassionate, transformative education. The Executive Director plays a key role in sustaining this legacy and expanding its impact in the Mankato community.

    Job Summary The Good Counsel Learning Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing personalized, one-on-one tutoring that empowers students of all ages to reach their full potential. Rooted in a tradition of compassion and excellence, we believe every learner deserves the support they need to succeed.

    The Learning Center is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of transformative education to learners of all ages. The Executive Director ensures strong organizational leadership, mission alignment, and long‑term sustainability while serving as the primary ambassador to students, families, donors, community partners, and staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    Execute the Learning Center’s strategic and business plans to ensure mission alignment and long‑term sustainability.

    Lead all fundraising and development initiatives, including donor cultivation, grant writing, stewardship, and major gift strategy.

    Provide visionary strategic and operational leadership across programs, finances, staffing, and community engagement.

    Strengthen relationships with donors, partners, and the broader community to expand awareness and support for GCLC.

    Collaborate with the Board of Directors on governance, planning, and organizational priorities.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

    Leadership experience in nonprofit, education, ministry, or mission‑driven settings.

    Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.

    Experience with budgeting, financial oversight, and organizational management.

    Fundraising or development experience preferred.

    Commitment to the mission and values of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
