Our client, a well-established health and wellness organization, is seeking an Executive Director to lead the strategic execution and day-to-day operations in alignment with the company's mission. This entrepreneurial leader will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors and various committees to oversee all aspects of organizational management. The Executive Director will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, driving the organization’s growth while cultivating strong relationships at both the local and national levels.
**This role is fully remote but must be based out of San Diego, CA
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate across all organization committees, ensuring alignment and execution:
- Programs: Plan 1–2 monthly events with speakers, venues, and vendors.
- Membership: Drive member recruitment, retention, and serve as the main point of contact.
- Sponsorship: Secure and manage sponsor relationships; organize appreciation efforts.
- Finance: Oversee bookkeeping, budgeting, and reporting; manage grants and meet fundraising goals.
- Executive: Lead meetings focused on key organizational priorities.
- Lead planning and logistics for three annual events.
- Manage contractors and volunteers to support execution.
- Represent the organization on calls and cross-chapter initiatives.
- Manage website (WordPress), email (Glue Up), and social media (LinkedIn, Instagram); oversee content contractor.
- Maintain CRM and respond to general inquiries.
- Complete grant paperwork and manage inventory/storage.
- Must have reliable vehicle and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bring hands-on mindset to all aspects of execution.
Required Skills and Education:
- 5–7 years of leadership experience in a nonprofit
- Act as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors; lead monthly meetings, prepare agendas/materials, and manage follow-ups.
- Support effective board governance, including recruitment, development, and by-law compliance.

- Proven track record in fundraising; responsible for driving the majority of organizational revenue.
- Skilled in planning and executing high-impact events.
- Experience collaborating with and managing a board; familiar with governance and membership structures.
- Passion for CPG brands and supporting entrepreneurial communities.
- Natural connector who thrives on building relationships and helping others succeed.
- Excellent communicator—adaptable across Zoom, Slack, phone, email, and in-person.
- Strong public speaking, writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Flexible schedule; willing to attend local events and meetings, including evenings (with notice).
- Open to domestic travel for key industry events and trade shows.

Compensation: $100,000 plus Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance, 401K. Annual bonus opportunity based on mutually agreed upon KPI’s.
