We are searching for a passionate and experienced Director to join our leadership team! You will work alongside an Executive Director and an Assistant Director, playing a key role in leading our exceptional Wonder of Learning Curriculum and supporting the growth of both our students and staff.

    Job Description

    Administrative

    Manage budgets and oversee all educational and operational purchases.

    Proactively manage center facilities to ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.

    Conduct weekly meetings with team.

    Licensing and Compliance

    Maintain positive relationships with licensing agents/agencies.

    Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, Goddard Quality Assurance, and certification/accreditation programs.

    Oversee Directors to maintain certifications and accreditation programs.

    Personnel Management

    Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent.

    Conduct onboarding, 90-day, and annual reviews.

    Lead, inspire, and engage employees to accomplish the Company's vision, mission, and values.

    Create a positive work environment that fosters trust and loyalty among all employees.

    Plan and implement professional development, in-service meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.

    Program and Curriculum Support

    Provide an exceptional early childhood learning environment/quality childcare service experience.

    Lead curricular and enrichment programs and manage a yearly budget.

    Conduct monthly classroom observations and maintain classroom ratios.

    Oversee curriculum implementation, lesson plans, and enrichment schedules.

    Plan and organize school-wide events (e.g., Gallery Night, Science Fair, Summer Camp).

    Ensure effective classroom management systems and playground safety.

    Sales and Marketing

    Manage enrollment, including recruitment, tours, and follow-up with families.

    Implement creative marketing programs to recruit teachers and families.

    Support family orientation programs and enhance communication channels (newsletters, Daily Activity Reports).

    Maintain a professional LinkedIn presence and support community outreach efforts.

    Daily Operations

    Manage daily schedules and ensure adequate staffing.

    Oversee opening and closing procedures, family greetings, and playground assessments.

    Provide coverage for faculty breaks as needed.

    Weekly Tasks

    Review employee timecards and facilitate interviews.

    Create faculty schedules.

    Conduct director meetings and prepare agendas.

    Monthly Tasks

    Assist with parent newsletters and update classroom binders for Quality Assurance.

    Submit required documentation to DCFS and maintain background checks.

    Ensure the school remains organized and clean.

    Ongoing Responsibilities

    Maintain accurate faculty and student files.

    Monitor logs, including playground checklists, health & safety calendars, and medication logs.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.

    Minimum of 7 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

    Director Qualified through DCFS (required).

    Experience working with families who receive state subsidies is highly preferred.

    Detail oriented and a self-starter.

    Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    A passion for high-quality early childhood education and supporting educators.
