Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Executive Director of Child Care to join our team! As the Executive Director of Child Care, you will be responsible for selecting age-appropriate programs, activities, and curricula for the children in our care. You will also support the current staff, manage scheduling and office supplies, bring positive communication to the team, and implement new strategies to grow and expand our outreach. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of child development and education, and experience managing staff.
Deliver a luxury-level tour and enrollment experience for prospective families
Manage online presence, social media engagement, and positive reviews
Proven salesmanship and business-growth experience, with the ability to drive enrollment, conversion, and retention in a premium service environment
Demonstrated success in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing high-performing teams
Strong ability to hold staff accountable to performance goals, expectations, and professional standards
Confident, solution-focused conflict resolution skills, including addressing employee performance issues and family concerns with professionalism and care
Required state Director or Administrative Credential and ability to meet all licensing and background requirements
Solid understanding of early childhood education best practices and licensing regulations
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Results-driven mindset with the ability to balance educational excellence and business performance
Responsibilities
Select an accredited curriculum based on each classroom’s needs and programs
Ensure that we are always in compliance with county and state regulations, as well as with the Department of Education
Manage staff expectations and handle any issues, including scheduling and interpersonal conflicts that may arise
Review and approve all lesson plans, printed materials, bulletin announcements, and newsletters
Plan extra-curricular activities, including in-house entertainment and field trips or destinations
Qualifications
The required licensing/certification to perform this role
Past experience working with children
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education is preferred
Demonstrated experience managing a team
Deep understanding of childcare, child development, and education
