We are currently hiring event staff and security guards for the golf tournament in mid January at Torrey Pines Golf Course. We have many other PGA tour events, music festivals, patrol sites, and other opportunities after this week of work that may include overtime which is paid time and a half after 8 hours and double time after 12 hours. This position is responsible for duties such as scanning tickets, welcoming patrons, directing guests, and providing superior customer service. Event Staff team members are also responsible for directing foot traffic, and ensuring the cleanliness, operational efficiency, and maintenance of designated areas. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Allows appropriate entry into each venue, may collect and/or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, and direct traffic coming in and out of the venue. - Demonstrates an understanding of the policies, procedures and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events. - Initiates genuine, friendly, and personal greeting to our guests as they arrive at your facility entrance, aisle, concourse area or other location. - Provides guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions that will enhance their entertainment experience. - Interactions with guests include a smile and use of a natural speaking voice, including natural inflection and a friendly tone. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Must be 18 years of age or older - Be professional, articulate, and able to use good judgment - May be asked to work overtime - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required - Lift 25 lbs. - Speak English Compensation for "Security Guards" (individuals with a guard card) is $21.50 Compensation for "Event Staff"(individuals without a guard card) is $18.50.
