Job Description
Under the guidance of the Executive Chef, the Executive Pastry Chef is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry and bakery operations within our hotel. This includes leading a team of pastry professionals to deliver for all outlets including restaurants, room service, and special events. The role demands creativity, precision, and a commitment to excellence aligned with the Delano Miami Beach standards.
What you will do...
- Manage production and presentation for all pastry items to ensure consistency, quality, and aesthetic excellence.
- Lead, train, and mentor the pastry team to maintain high culinary standards
- Collaborate with Executive Chef and F&B team to develop seasonal offers and special events menus.
- Oversee daily operations of the pastry kitchen, including scheduling, inventory, food costing, and ordering of supplies.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations in accordance with Delano Miami Beach standards and local laws.
- Control labor and food costs through effective planning and waste management.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and source premium ingredients.
- Participate in culinary promotions, guest engagements, and media events when required.
